Today is Christmas day and what a portraits session we had with Bob and Sherry's family. They had eveyone from parents to grand children there for the family portrait and it was great to see such a large loving family enjoying each others company on Christmas day.

Today I took pictures for Kirk & Jessica and their three handsome and rambunctious sons.

Franchesca & Her Girls

Today I took some family portraits for Franchesca of her and her girls. They were a pleasure to work with and we captured some truly original and beautiful photos of this family just being themselves and the love that they share for each other.

Zack & Tonya

Today I did a portrait session with Zach and Tonya Springer and their adorable little son Austin. We went out to Thousand Hills Lake just in time to take some beautiful portraits and watch an amazing sunset. Afterward we took some in studio portraits. Working with little Austin was so much fun he was a constantly moving bundle of energy with a smile that lights up the room.

Arowyn's Soccer

Arowyn just finished her first season of soccer. She looked so adorable out there in her soccer shorts and cleats. It's amazing to watch kids at this age and how quickly they pick up the rules of the game and to watch their talents develop and grow. After we clarified the difference between ballet class and soccer she really started to make some progress and started to face forward in the goal and to run towards the ball instead of doing plies and pirouettes in the middle of the field. She had a great time this season and we are looking forward to next spring.

4th of July

There's nothing like barbecue and fireworks with family and friends to create the makings of a perfect evening. After some delicious barbeque prepared by my husband we had some fun lighting off some fireworks in the driveway then watching our neighbors light some off as well.

Ahh it's the simple pleasures that make life fun. Like playing with sparklers and long exposures.

Arowyn's T-Ball

Arowyn has just completed her first season of T-Ball at the YMCA. It was quite the exciting season watching so many little kids trying to play an organized game with at least half of them, my daughter included, with no clue what they were doing. It was truly a memorable season. The coaches did such a great job working with so many little kids running in all different directions.

Katherine & Greg's Wedding

Katherine & Greg chose the beautiful Sunken Garden at Truman to hold their ceremony. There were so many funny, special, and touching moments that happened during their day. After the ceremony things got lively at the reception which was held at the Old Bible Grove School House. Thank you for allowing me to be the one to capture the memories of your special day.

Our Famliy Portraits

We haven't had a family portrait made of our family since our son Teagan was born 2 years ago. I had Meagan Heminger our newest intern photographer do a portrait session for my family. We all had a great time and the kids really enjoyed goofing off for the camera. Megan did a great job and has a real eye for catching those special moments.
